Description

Slot Canyons are very narrow canyons that were carved out by rushing water. Parts of northern Arizona and southern Utah are riddled with them. They are incredibly beautiful inside, but don't get caught in one during a rainstorm. They can fill rapidly without warning with flash flood waters, and you can die real quick. The most famous one I know is Antelope Canyon, so named because one of the upper rocks is shaped like the horn of a pronghorn antelope. I recently had the opportunity to photograph this wonderful place, but I do not have any of the photos on the 'net yet, so you will have to be satisfied by looking here. This is a study or WIP, if you will. I am working to make a better image. Terrain by Grosch. Thank you. Comments in other languages welcome.

I agree Pat although very beautiful, these unique and natural wonders of nature can be a dangerous place to be when rain threatens. Your work approaches the the beauty to be found while exploring these beautiful places.
