Description


Bonaire, Netherland Antilles. The underwater world has many symbiotic relationships. The Spotted Cleaner shrimp can often be seen in the mouths and gills of fish eating the parasites. There small, no bigger than one inch long, but very colorful. A challenge to photograph as the surge moves the anemone arms, myself and the shrimp. Nikon N90S, Nikon 105mm macro, Ikelight N90 matrix housing, Ikelight 200 strobe, Ikelight 50 strobe. Fuji Provia asa 100 Slide Film.

Fish have what are called cleaning stations, a spot on the reef were they stop to have the parasites cleaned off. It's wierd to see one of these in the mouth of a Moray eel. If you put your hand out, they will start cleaning your fingers.

Not much of a meal for any real shrimp lover. The colorings are amazing, size, what are we looking at is the photo close to actual size? Keep at it your getting pretty good at this photo stuff LOL. :o) EXCELLENT!!!

Beautiful image! Awesome job! Just a fair warning..slide film, sometimes the colors fade depending on the type of slide film you use. Awesome image!
