Description

This is an "fairly" accurate and highly detailed model of a "6 Pounder"... many hardware pieces are yet to be modeled. I've worked this model from only a few photographs - I wish I had real plans! There are some surface issues to yet be dealt with - such as the "non-smooth" poly's on the inside wheel radius (maybe a minus number on the smooth threshold??) and, colors and textures still to be considered. know what you mean, I did one (also known as a Napoleon 6 pounder, if that helps look for reference materials) once, and most of the pics were replica models..I think you have the details down, though. I think there was a mount for the swab, or sponge, or cat, or whatever the long pole they sent down it. Aside from that, it just needs texturing.. real professional work, that.

Wow, this is really good, Pinmaker. Reminds me of my Naval Cannon (in my gallery)... Nice details. Keep up the good work...

Great modeling work... terrific amount of details! :o) Let's get that paint job on it... maybe some hypervoxels in a quick animation?
