Description

Continue my study on reflection and refraction of watery surfaces. In this one pic I have used three directional lights to get the reflections. Therefore I have planned the water material in this way: the highlight global intensity to 20800 and its size to 152%, the transparency to 80%, its blurred 2.0, refraction index to 0.96, all the rest as default. Overall it's important the angle position of the camera and directional lights ( that must be in opposition to the camera of course). VuePro (no postwork). Thanks for viewing and comments. Luigi.

This looks as real as one can make water look. Excellent job with this image. :o) quote..."the highlight global intensity to 20800 and its size to 152%, the transparency to 80%, its blurred 2.0, refraction index to 0.96...." end quote. I have tryed to duplicate the settings but I am not having any luck with it. I am confused where you get the global intensity set to 20800 and its size to 152%.

Excellent job! One improvement: Make the rocks near the water look a little wet.

Well done on getting the light to reflect on the water while still maintaining the transparency.

Thanks for comments to everybody. Iloco@: all the setting was made in material editor on highlight and transparency sections, but, as I already told the thing more important is to set the camera and directional lights algle. The goal is here!

Nice! The water looks excellent! Very realistic, as does the terrain material. I agree with Daron Kel though that the line where water meets land needs some attention.
