Description
This is Jade, my one-year-old rat. At the time, she was 1-foot, 1-inch long with her tail. I had to get rid of her because she killed another one of my rats...violence is common to the species, I guess. *shrugs*

I love rats! Is she a dumbo rat? Looks like it, with rex-dominent. She looks almost exactly like mine.

Nope, not a dumbo, I got her from a pet store. With her markings, I'd say she's a mix of two different kinds forgot the breeds now Gah, oh well. When I remember them, I'll post them.

I had a black and white rat long time ago. His name was Rufus, and he was the most gentle, intelligent pet I've ever had. Of course, he lived by himself. Maybe that is the best way to get the best out of the species. He was a fairly large rat, too, came from a pet store, and hand-tamed.

Only rats that I have had that could get along were litter mates. The others all had to be kept in separate cages. Just hope you don't give up on the furry critters. Cute picture.

I had rats as a child :) Same violence occured to me, but it was sucha great experience, save for that downnote. Anyone who says rats are dirty, needs to keep one. Gorgeous, intelligent, clean animals they are :)
