ive been reading about Shackelton and antartic exploration in the 1910's. must have been brutal to be trapped in ice for months at a time.
(i know this ship isnt the Endurance)

My favorite explorer. One of the most harrowing tales ever survived to be written about. Remember you would need a windless week to get an ice reflection like that. But I knew who it was in the Thumbnail!

I've read (and re-read) several of Shackleton's books, and books about him this winter - what an interesting man! His ability to just keep going was amazing. Like richardson, I guessed this was meant to be the Endurance.
