Description

It was the first time I had seen a GPS in action. We had used it to navigate though total white out conditions, and managed to locate the top of this plateaux in the Cairngorms without any trouble. As we started back down, the cloud cleared slightly for a moment to reveal what we had just missed on the way up. White outs are weird, and disorientation can be very scary, especially when the only glimpse you get of your surroundings shows the edge of the plateaux your trying to avoid!
