Description

Night in the abandoned quarry pit. Uncut blocks are all around in a jumble, they could even collapse. -*- Started with a photo of some large limestone blocks, and cleaned it up. Then made it into a 1024 terrain object, with its own photo applied as a texture, in the diffuse column. What felt odd was smoothing the terrain because it was too bumpy, eventually it was just gray blobs, but with the photo applied as a texture, it all came back, better this time: you see "real" bumps on the surface. I figure most have to be less than even one 1/256 of the height of the bitmap, so the grayscale terrain can't do it. -*- Thanks for viewing, and for your comments.
