Feeling a little Squirrely at the moment, so a shot of Squirrel will do.
Not going to say much here. Started with BW photography many years back (Petri 35mm range-finder). Read a magazine article that said: Shoot! Film is cheap! Took that to heart. With digital photography one can recyle the film ad nauseum.
Interests vary greatly. Generally attracted to large, noisy machinery. Especially older stuff. Very fond of travel shots; particularly new aspects of familiar places and things.
PW is usually done with Corel 9 DCE. Seems to have the power of much more expensive software suites at a fraction of the price.

What's interesting in this image is the sort of Bauhausy looking building in contrast to the Buttressy one... then there's the red brick Georgian... and yet another vernacular structure with a copper mansart roof and spire. Quebec City is a place of diverse architectural styles... you have made testament to that fact in your charming photos... excellent documentation of a time and place!
grrrduhbear
it is a unusual building .good shot anyway >Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

You certainly are covering a lot of territory quickly weesel .... Are they air vents or are they some kind of receptive hole to take an architectural addition that once was on the wall? (Like lego!) Just guessing. Good archi shot...

Maybe they are some sort of butresses!? Fine shot anyway :)

Strange and impressive building, great shot!

I like the airvent idea. Also it appears that one whole section of the building is intentially being kept in the dark. "Magazine" comes to mind, but it's sitting way out in the open where a cannonball can find it. Any Quebecers out there who can help out? I'd be willing to do a field trip if Renderosity would fit the bill. ;-)
