Description
This portrait of my Great Grandmother from my Dad's side of the family was taken in October of 1944 by Bachrach Portrait Photographers. It is one of the few portraits I have on display here in my bedroom/office space. I have fond childhood memories of visiting her in the upscale hotel where she lived in Philadelphia. She would read stories to my older sister and me, and treated us with Pepperidge Farm cookies. What I remember most about her is how kindhearted she was. I don't know much about her life. She was married to a business man of some sort, but I never knew him because he died before I was born. Also I recently learned she served as the World President of the Christian Science Church. What is most important to me are my memories of her as a sweet and loving Granny whose company I always enjoyed. She passed away over ten years ago, and lived to be in her 90's.
Thanks for looking, -Peace :-)

She is looking down from Heaven with her beautiful smile - very happy that you thought of her and shared your wonderful memories with this community. She "IS" a beautiful woman. She may not be here in physical form... but she is always with you in her spiritual form... whenever you need her.
