Description

...and the turbulent atmosphere whipped itself into a frenzy, clouds of gas whirling in a myriad of colours. As the energy built to a crescendo, a mighty electrical discharge shattered the heavens - throwing the landscape into stark relief and darkening the rest of the sky... I've noticed that some other artists feel the comments/ranking system isn't being used well. I've decided to stay with the ranking/comments system, because I feel most people leave honest comments. To deny others the right to comment is stifling - you may well miss out on some good suggestions, so I'm sticking with it. This, (ReRo), is a vibrant community, and surely the whole purpose of a community is to comment & help each other. As I've said on previous Forum posts, I'm sure some 'backslapping' goes on - but I'm equally sure this is a very small minority. I view a lot of pictures, and comment on a lot - but I never expect a reciprocal comment. My own view is that I'll leave a comment if I've viewed a picture - it may be a comment for improvement, but usually it's just to let the artist know I've enjoyed their work. And if I leave a vote, it's because I'm genuinely impressed with the artists work. Anyway, I just thought I'd let you know that all of my comments are genuine - let's not become cynical about the comments system. If we all stopped allowing comments, then (I believe) the Terragen Gallery would slowly die. WM File (Ridged Multifractal) - reworking of 'Storms Fury', just with a sci-fi twist. Postwork: Gamma, Brightness/Contrast in PSP - atmosphere & plant reworked in Ulead Photoimpact, sharpening in MGI Photosuite. Thanks for viewing.

Like the sci-fi twist and those clouds, surface IMHO a bit too granular. Couldn't agree more with yor statement.

Great use of colors for the sky. Lot of action there. Terrain fits well with the sky. Wonder what runs around in a area like this? Trolls, Hobbits or something else we don't know about.. I have to agree with the Artist on his comments. This is a great site and we do post so others can view what we have done and to learn from others.

I look forward to any comments about my work when I post a picture because how am I going to know how other people react to my work without it. This is one of the things that hooked me to Terragen and this forum. Keep up the good work, I look forward to your post.

Agree completely with Markal! We artists (including all, if "true" artists or not) are all vain and jealous sometimes. But I'm an optimist, I felt much more positive vibrations here!
