I'm a graphic designer from Finland who teaches using computers in designing, and whose favourite areas are vector graphics and typography and painting as well digitally as with traditional methods. - All said in one sentence...
I read a lot, I smoke a lot --- I'm not anymore young, beautiful and slim;-)BIOI graduated at Helsinki University some 20 years ago as M.A. - main subjects philosophy, aesthetics and Finnish language and Finnish literature. As a philosopher;-) I couldn't have a permanent job... I have been a teacher in many places; teaching both children and adults.
I am a self-made graphic designer and computer aided designing teacher. My very best interest lies - besides the pictures - on typography, in theory and in practise. I work as a free lancer.
I have the home page of my own - but unfortunately they are all in Finnish. But the adress is not a secret: www.valt.helsinki.fi/blogs/titta
All my studying materials are there - I teach quite a lot at Helsinki University.
Personal life: I live with my big black dog, Kirppu (in English "a flea") in Helsinki.

Am just speechless Titta!! U're so talented! There's so many details in those drawings! I'm truly admirative! And I love ur idea of making one image with 4! I think they actually look wonderful together! Could make a great "learning" poster about insects!! Love this! Excellent work my dearest friend! :)

Titta, Your little grasshoppers are just wonderful. I love each and every one, and you are learning much about detailing and perspective. Also the best way to learn is through either photographs or live subjects. I do most of my floral paintings from real flowers.A lesson well learned. Lina

A nice way to present what you have done for the challenge, the sketches are terrific and I love your watercolors.

Every time I try to pick a favorite, I just get too confused. They're each so fantastic! I think I like Tony (Jack?) best because I'm fond of grasshoppers, but Arnold and Dennis are hoppers, too, and so exquisitely detailed. Walter is also a gem, but I wish he'd stop looking at me as if I was his next meal!

So well done Titta! I really like the sharp color on the grasshopper. Great attention to detail.
