Description

The Gorge at Saklikent near the south coast of Turkey. ~*~ It cuts into the mountains for over 17Km in a very narrow sided canyon, that often shuts out the sky. The river flows straight out the rock face and is like ice because it comes from deep within the bed rock . Apparently the river ran black after the horrendous earthquake of 1999 near Istanbul. A sobering thought considering it is about 700Km away.

I don't know how you do to have such high shot but it is incredible (use a 17mm?) it give a very strong impression. I would like to be there, it looks like a great place. Excellent shot !

Thanks for pointing this out. What an interesting place! It looks quite a bit larger than an Arizona slot canyon. Antelope Canyon is only about 300 yards long.
