Description

Inspired by a book of the same by Arthur C. Clarke. Arthur C. Clarke's ideas are radical, and they have a bizarre way of half coming true. Bizarre n'est pas? Sorry, I just had to do something strange. Inspired by something Antoonio showed me a month ago. Background and figures rendered in Poser, postwork in photoshop.

I love the muted colours, the way their bodies seem a little vague in detail, the fact that only one is facing the camera and I can't quite discern her full expression. They make me feel curious: what are the tall and short one doing? What are the centered pair looking at? Questions like that & that all too human way of trying to related to something that seems alien or foreign to us in some way, at least at first. You have me thinking...your picture is inspiration...

Hi Syyd. You certainly do have the feel for the book's ending where mankind is so much more evolved, changed and still changing by the events in the book, where our children's children are in some ways so removed from humanity as to be alien to us... Looking at this and listening to the music that Mike Oldfield did for the game adaptation of the book, you can feel the alieness.. Beautiful work as always my dear. Gives us novices something to work towards.

I believe that Syyd will never stop to surprise me, I tell it since each new work it is an incredible creation and this it is it, but him but important it is that never you had repeated in its thematic one is always new and surprising. This image has a really very sad climate, although I didn't read the book I suppose for what I see that it should be this way, those beings wandering without a fixed direction. The strong illumination believes overexposure on the characters and they make that these they stand out with but it forces, the post production carried out in Photoshop, makes that a deformation is achieved in the bodies that accentuate its sadness and solitude. THIS IT IS A GREAT DEFINITIVELY INCREDIBLE WORK!!!!.

starts to smile ...I know what you mean by this. Incredible, but I have played with idea just like this for a while now. JUST some wicked, twisted poserfigures and colorscene almost like this, even the composition is almost similar. Get out of my head!
...btw, thanks for a new wallpapaer.

It feels like a vision - a vision of a future where life has evolved beyond the physical - and into other concerns we can only imagine. It's a wonderful piece.
