Description

Created in UF3 with some sharpening in Photoshop. I haven't had much time for fractals recently; here's one I managed to squeeze out last night. Thanks for the comments on "Trying". Constructive comments, criticism and suggestions are welcome.

Very nice textures and lighting--reminds me of Vermeer.

For me this is not too dark or too moody. It is simply beautiful. I do not have any suggestions for you except fractalling more often to enjoy us with your art.

The superb lighting, muted colors and just-plain-awesome texture create a dark ambiance that is heavy but bearable because of the undeniable excellence and beauty of this piece.

Toby's right, it does look like Vermeer! Wonderful structures, lighting and textures for a great atmosphere. This may be my personal monitor setting, but to me the moon area might show better with just the faintest kiss of light.

Stormy weather, I'd say. Compliment.

The lighting is one of the best ever. This is art. Darn near a "masterpeice" ;) On the other hand, I have looked at this one on two moniters and it seems too dark. It has lots of black. Your other recent images seem sort of dark to me too. It could just be me, but if you have Photoshop, you might consider running that gamma checker calibration thingy (forgot what it's called), or there are some websites with charts that will help to rough it in.

Brilliant image. And amazing colours. It certainly looks OK on my monitor. I have texture in ALL "black" areas. Ah, this will stay a problem for the distribution of computerart for ever I guess.

Moody and brooding... certainly has alot of feeling. The composition is brilliant and the colors and textures are wonderful for this "story"... excellent!! :) (Not too dark for my monitor)

The texture of the sky is beautiful and imparts a dark brooding atmosphere . It acts as an excellent backdrop for the fascinating fractal resting below.

I agree with Deagol,on my monitor the image is also dark(backgraund is almost black).I had to adjust my gamma to 1.6 to see real beauty of it.
