Description

On March 15, 2004, NASA-funded researchers have discovered the most distant object orbiting the sun. It's a mysterious planet-like body three times farther from Earth than Pluto. This is a really exciting discovery! So I wanted to celebrate it by making Sedna. This is my first attempt at making something in outerspace with Terragen. To read about this here is the URL to the site that has information! http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2004/16mar_sedna.htm?list806754 Thank you for viewing and feedback! :)

SpacePatt, I like the name! What a terrific image, the starfield background is great and the planet surface appropriately alien looking. Interesting info on the NASA website, how come this wasn't all over the news? As our knowledge of the universe keeps expanding we only concentrate on the little things. Truly excellent work!! V

Nice image! The nebula and starfield has been created with Universe, isn't it? ;) P.S. I thought Sedna is an 2000km big icebrick?

Oh, Patt! This is wonderful! I love seeing things that are completely different. This is wonderful, and no one can say it doesn't look "Real" or "Right", because YOU define it!!!

I KNEW there was something out there! Thanks for showing it to us! Looks like it's made of sulfur, and considering how far away it is, it's a good thing because otherwise we would have a dickens of a time seeing it! No light! :)
