The Story of Praeteritus Many lightyears away lies the planet of Praeteritus. Long ago there was life on it... intelligent life. They prospered for many years as we humans do, and guiltlessly enjoyed their immoral pleasures. After many years, certain ones grew jealous of the others' greater wealth. The wealthy were overthrown by those who fell victim to envy. However, even the victorious found they couldn't handle the entire planet's resources, and so they perished, cold and miserable and lonely. The planet grew old and lost its atmosphere. It's beautiful mountains and forests were destroyed by erosion. Eventually, now, many years later, the seeds of a new race and a new history are landing, oblivious to the power time holds. Dedicated to all the lost souls of this world.
