Description

It seems to be a law that everyone has to model a chess set, so here's mine. Modelled from nothing but primitives (except for the knight which is a lattice and I'm not happy with at all). I left the models as neutral, so you can see the primitives in the shadow.

The concept and execution are wonderful. I can see why you are not happy with your knights, however. Top image, top right knight looks like he is headless.

Yeah, the headless horse is partly because I used quite light glass, partly because of the angle and partly because it's crap modelling.

Come on, how about a couple more camera angles so I can reverse-engineer the rest of the room? ;-)

Very slick, I don't usually enjoy this type of subject as it's been done to death, but this is very much an exception! Vote!

Yeah, top marks indeedee. It must have been some fun model-making for you. You'll get that horse worked out, too (I venture to predict). I would say, hmmm, it looks thin ... maybe to make one out of primitives la Rochr! Then it could be thick and exhibit more sparkle and TIR!

WOW indeed, you have mastered this type of scene. And i might add, given me some ideas for a future pic. That lighting/hdri does put a new level to what bryce can do.

This looks cool. I think the head part of the knights would look better if you make it a bit more wide. You could try to rotate the kinghts and see if it looks better then.
