Description

[Transcript of Joint Chiefs briefing - 03/12/3001] ...we're currently examining the structure with an automated probe - we don't want to risk any more troops out there. As you can see, the entire structure seems to be glowing with energy now. We're unsure what its purpose is, but our best guess is it's defensive. It seems to be pulling its power from the planet itself, but we have no idea how. We believe it's this power drain that's causing the localised atmospheric disturbance. The probe has located no signs of Alpha Team since starting the scan, so we're assuming they've either been vaporised or taken from the scene. The probe hasn't attracted any attention from the structure, so we think it's only attuned to certain bio-electrical waveforms. Dependant on the scan results, we may be able to take this structure out using automated fighters... WM File: Angled Strata by adm5050 (Modified in Terraformer), postwork in Photoimpact & PSP. I don'r like the looks of this. There could be many air defenses hidden in the canyons around the structure. I'd suggest you send in a small craft with a animal onboard. Maybe the defenses are set for organic life and not probes!! Well Done, and a great continued story. Waiting for Ch # 3
