Oh no!! Poor thing! Same thing happened to me. After a few days the keyboard dried out thoroughly and began working again but it was too late. I'd already bought a new one! I looked just like him (well, maybe a bit more feminine!! lol)

Who cares about the stupid notebook, once I spilled a glass of coke over my LAPTOP and it was dead for 3 hours, thanks god it woke up again later. :) Nice renders by the way, shows you can really be creative and have fun with Poser even without all those supermodels and expensive additions :)

They used to make covers for the keyboards. I haven't been able to find them anymore, but when I had one - the thing saved my keyboard about 3 times. The worst mine gets is crumbs from cookies and crackers I eat at the computer. (Shame on me!) Good luck with your next keyboard.

I've done that 3 times with Mtn. Dew and it ruined the keyboards Good thing that they are cheap I got new ones for about $20

Hahaha! That's for sure they don't mix just ask Peter Frampton (oww, wrong kinda board though). For some reason I find it veeeeery interesting that you chose to use the P4 male for this instead of M3. Hmmmmm. Take it easy man!

Don't think I ever killed my keyboard from spills, though I've had my share, mostly crumbs from cookies, lol, and I do get little drops of Spaghetti sauce on my monitor no matter how careful I try not to. Guess cause my computer is on my dining table, sigh...... Great comic dude!

I've had experience with this. Here's a tip: toss the keyboard in the dish washer! No kidding! let it cycle, pull it out let it dry. BAM! Good as new!

The ol' keyboard and coke cocktail huh? Yup, it usually ends in disaster :) Good thing you could pilfer your son's though - kids can be so useful sometimes :)

The sugar in the coke sounds the death knell for a keyboard. One time at the office, we had catered food because of a project deadline. A tray of spaghetti sauce did a power dive onto one of the keyboards. As a joke, I gave it to our on-site repair techs to fix. Of course, that wasn't entirely unreasonable in 1989 when a Compaq 386-16 was a $5,000 item; IIRC a keyboard was $400-$500. They surprised me by returning a working Keyboard.

Rule of fact: When they say "Things go better with Coke"...I think they are reffering to rum, not keyboards.

Orange Juice + Keyboard = a Capslock that still sticks occasionally after 6 months. Funny funny stuff, and way too true. :D

I've found that Blackcurrent and Lemonade doesn't work too well as a keyboard cleaner either. Still, it gave me an excuse to buy a posh new one :) Great illustration JM.

I must be the lucky one. I seem to endlessly spill and drop coke, coffee, tea, jam and crumbs over mine and they just keep ticking. Great idea and well done. :)

Very informative & instructive render - something you can show your children to learn about real life. Suggestion: put the keyboard into the washing-machine and wash with double soap - then you can throw away a clean keyboard. btw you must have a great son - mine (3 boys) would defend their toys with teeth and claws - lol.
