(Maya 5.0) I'm very new to 3d and Maya so this is a little simple, and i dont plan on finishing it (just practicing) but i figured i'd post it so you can see my progression as i post more projects...please comment on lighting and texturing (i know too clean)...and the shadows are subtle cuz its bright in the hall but they are there. (ATTENTION!! all newbies, get some Gnomon Workshop DVD's, it will get you goin on Maya in a jiffy)

your floor texture seens of-scale and your camera angle is also to high in your second pic
