Good Timing --Excellent Zombie man creature creation--wouldn't it be wonderful If you got to design monster CGI sometime for movies--you certainly have one of every description !!

thnx yall...saw the Dawn of the Dead movie today finally....and here are the things I thought about it... I loved it cept for..... I don't like the zombies being so fast....I like the lumbering, rotting types.... Too many quick cuts.....didn't get to see good hard nightmare causing images of the zombies.....I liked the fast pace of the movie but....they should have slowed down enough to show them in all their bloody gory..errr I mean glory.... I didn't care for the ending....they never seem to leave things open for Twilight of the Dead...grrrrr.....cept the zombies are still alive....a partial continuing cast would be nice for once....lol... Not enough flesh ripping......remember the original DotD...the housing project.....the swat team goes in etc....that shit was realistic and the basement scene where they dumped them was scary as hell to me....you could smell the rot almost eminating from that holding pit/cage.... The music needed work....they should have gotten music from something similiar to Goblin that did the original....that music was driving and errie....I think they try to be too hip with the current generation etc ...like a music video at times....music definitely makes up for alot of atmosphere... I did like that fact that there was no pie fight in this version. Hated that in the original....I found it not very funny and added nothing to the story imho in the original.... I think they should have shown more of the community in ruins than they did as well.....that apocolyptic feel is very scary to me....when they did the aerial over the main highway and it showed the fires and stuff and the truck running off the road from above....that was rivoting...with their budget they could have shown more than they did in those regards.... I did like the "twitcher" thing they introduced.....very funny and a little disturbing.... I had a super duper bucket of popcorn and was halfway thru it by the time the movie title appeared on the screen...so I was pretty dang happy at that point to say the least.... Not enough zombies in the mall....I missed that....but with them no longer lumbering about....and moving fast I guess that would not have been a good thing for the production. Blood and brain matter effects were "thicker and gooeyer" and I liked that....they just needed more...... Universal overall did a great remake...though their major flaw was not allowing George Romero to direct or oversee the production.....from my understanding he was not involved at all.... Loved seeing the cameo appearance of returning alumni Scott Renegar and Ken Foree....(the swat boys from the original). And Tom Savini was also a pleasant face to see as well..... So for popcorn, drinks and my ticket I think I got my 15 bux worth for sure..... What was your take on it? Ron

Cool image, Always wanted to get into Zbrush myself, excellent work. As for the movie, I agree with most of your comments, but my strongest dislike was that it was soooo far away from the original storyline, but still a good film all in all.
