I am trying to work on my lighting and this seemed like a good complex scene to do so here it is! your comments are welcomed. all done in 3ds 4

This picture looks really great, but considering the light sources the lighting would look a bit different I think. Several small lights can hardly do such a soft, nice light in the room. Looking at the shadows on the floor makes an impression that there is a huge, shaded lamp on the whole ceiling, but there isn't. Don't get me wrong, that was just my point about the lighting. This is still great image.

i would like this pic rendered with brazil or raymax and GI. both are free renderers (beta test). you should give them a try for such renderings!! and you should use a lower jpg compression, some parts look blocky. this pic deserves a lower jpg compression! :-)
