Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us. Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!

I think I have pictures from that one as well! The mood of this image is one my beloved would share! S.A.D. is very real in our household...I just dislike the bitter cold and duration of our Winters, the rest, the snow and reasonable cold, I embrace joyfully! Excellent picture! Tripod? Or assitant? Superb mood and atmosphere!

What a reflective mood. It is a striking silhoutte capture cleverly framed by the window.

I wanted to see some of your earliest posts...this is quite evocative. You've captured 3 worlds, 3 hues: the place inside (in dark shadows with a hint of rust, which is touching), the grayed yet luminous winter through the window, and the lace which has these near-maroon tones and which seems like a curtain of grace over the whole thing. I understand how you struggle with winter, but winter calls you and has pulled some beautiful & inward captures out of you, and you always manage to find the transcendent in it. I guess you two are "strange bedfellows," to use Shakespeare's words, but it's definitely a muse to something deep inside you, and your captures of it are truly inward & touching.
