Description
Hi there,
Trying to paint "radiosity-a-like",
I'd like to present my latest artwork: "Mindcage".
It's entirely done with Photoshop 7 using a Wacom Intuos2 A4 board.
No references were used, therefore Illumination is "handmade".
I've used several textures to achieve interesting structures on the surfaces.
A Preillumination painting is shown here: http://www.inetgrafx.at/MINDCAGE-PREILLUM.jpg
The Original measures 2000x1500.
I'd be happy about every constructive critics and comments!
Thanks in advance,
Daniel

(oh, the wonderful comments...) Anyway, you really did a good job on the illumination effect. When you look at the image the light parts really look bright. Maybe there's a little bit too much soft edges in the image. The window for example could be quite a bit more edgy as far as the linework is concerned. That way you create a bit more contrast without losing the ligh effects.

very nice work, I love those wall textures. Reminds me of the abandoned homes I photographed on my trip to the midwest.

This is going in my Favorites after I finish this comment. It is an excellent, moody work -- I can just imagine stepping into that room, the sun warm and the walls smelling faintly of must.
