Description

There were two others in KISS's history who had the honor to wear the makeup. Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent. When I wrote a fantasy novel about the band, Vinnie's character had no name (and he only wore the makeup for 1983). So I invented the name Lifesong for him. I even repainted one of the original Mego KISS dolls with the ankh makeup. I was lucky enough to meet Vinnie three times, once briefly in the makup. The second time I brought the doll and got it autographed. He still remains a favorite of mine. He went on to form the Vinnie Vincent Invasion which gave birth to Slaughter when the band broke up. I loved Vinnie and this is a lovely tribute to his days with one of the best bands ever. To those who don't know, that necklace is Ra-Herakhty or Re-Horakte, the Egyptian God who championed Good over Evil. I think the Ancients would have found this a worthy piece of art for their temple. Excellent!!!

I met the Invasion when they were opening up for Alice Cooper! That was crazy! Very cool artwork. Love the whole look and style. Sweeeet artwork!

KISS is my favorite band..and I loved Vinnie's solo albums after he left KISS...Great tribute to him! Let's see the FOX character (Eric Carr) next...smiles Beautiful work!
