Description

Ok, this image started as a great find, and has ended as a disappointment. I saw this, after about a dozen mutations and an eternity of tugging triangles, and I IMMEDIATELY saw, in my mind, a finished image. Imagine this fractal, pouring into a "lake" of cosmos, and then said lake spiraling out into creation. Well guess what? I can't pull it off. I've worked for nearly a week with filters, brushes, tubes, effects... and what I got was pure crap. OH yes, C-R-A-P. I refuse to do that to this lovely fractal, so you get it pure and unadulterated. I hope you enjoy it. *sighs* Apo 2.16/PSP w/SPB for frame/sig

This is a great raw image & I can understand your frustration at not being able to build upon it to create the image you saw in your mind's eye. But I applaud your integrity for both not posting what you call "crap" & for having the guts to admitting to a failure - something I believe every artist experiences at one one time or another, but which not all will admit to. And who knows, you may come back to it sometime in the future & achieve what you were hoping to accomplish (or something entirely different, but equally worthy). End of pep talk.

At least you tried, and you still have a sense of humour, and really it is very nice in it's pure unadultered state. Nice work,,,,,,,,Lina

It's a lovely image as it is...and one to be very careful to save so you can return to it whenever you like! It shows that you have a good eye, the rest will catch up, lol!

Great image, Kat! Love the whole concept. The story goes along nicely with the pic. That way we can imagine our own cosmic lake!

This is a beautiful fractal all by itself. I can picture your vision for it in my mind and I understand your frustration at not being able to create your vision. Don't give up. Keep your vision in the back of your mind when you check new fractals. You may find one that when added to this one will help you complete your mind's dream. Just a suggestion. :)
