Description

My first work with high elevation Terragen topography. Many thanks to Lutz for relaying the information I needed to get a better understanding of this process; and, how to get started creating other world terrains. His version of this image is certainly much better for many reasons including the POV, the color, and the atmosphere.

Well Done... What really captures my eyes is the terrain and detail around the out side. And of course the great haze work..

I adore the smoothness of the detail and especially sand. [I am not sure that the pole of Mars is also prominent :-) ]

Very dramatic perspective & fascinating terrain. Light, shadow, & atmosphere all work perfectly here to create a high level of realism. Very powerful image.

Your rendering is perfect! However, and although it is a Mars terrain, I would give it another name (see Snow Angel and bebert), because of the lack of snow.

I think that the way you make it gives an "animal" look to this terrain. Nothing to compare with Mars, but a pure creative work. I would call it the Nautile Rock ;-))

Very interesting landscape. The smooth features are very contrasting with the rest of the landscape. I just might have to do one of these mars pics myself :). Nice post.
