The points that recede back beyond big changes like the size of the headlights in 1958 and the details of the hubcaps as wheel covers replaced them raise questions without answers. You had to be be there. But was it ever there?

I'm not sure i got your point but in the 50's a couple of years could make all the difference, stylewise.
