Description

This image is greatly inspired by the images made by Hyperborea. I wanted to create a dark rainy image. Also i tried to give the stone surface a "wet-look" effect. You know that shiny effect what you see on the streets after it has rained? I wanted to create some rain in bryce but i didn't manage to do that. Also the bryce-tech site seems to be down on which i saw a rain tutorial?? In stead of that i created the rain in photoshop. Everything else you see in the image is rendered in Bryce. I really appreciate your comments on this piece.

A great tribute to Hyperborea. Really like the ground an the textures you've used. Very nice work.

This is indeed reminiscent of Hyperborea's works. A truly nice image. I think you did well with the rain. Not sure about the wet-look effect though. My first impression was of a metallic texture to the ground, not wet. Somebody better than me would have to tell you what to do about that.

Seems you got the gist of the tute..I see I'm not the only one who can't get Brycetech,a little more opacity on the rain layer, then fix the layer underneath...wicked ground texture..large cracks are good...very nice

I love that ground plane and think that the central object is very much like a plant bursting out of the soil. Very nice rain effect! I'd like to learn to do that in Bryce. Overall, a wonderful picture!!
