Description
The Lancer II Medium Ground Support aircraft, Armed with 1 Aero-Kentics-Labratories, Mark G Pulse Rail Cannon, turret mounted under the airframe. The aircraft was released just in time to fire the new 'Terra-Assaulter' 286x86x900mm depleted uranium tipped munitions, which can penetrate 1.56m of 'Abrams' armor or 2.367m of steel 'armor' plating.
The projectile leaves the barrel at approximately 6000m/s meaning it is more than a match for hitting any moving aircraft and with its 360 degree swiveling turret which can go almost 83 degrees perpendicular to the airframe. Although some do say its range of only 25km and 6km effective range makes it a bit limiting, but this is more than made up for with its radar reflecting shape and absorptive paneling which make it far easier to close range, espetialy with the additional added advantage of not having to reveal its position every time it fires, unlike aircraft that carry their munitions in compartments inside the aircraft. This makes it more than a match for any enemy fighter, even though its main roll is as an airborne artillery piece, it is also an effective close support aircraft bringing its massive weapon to bear on any unsuspecting tank lingering bellow on the battle field. Its pilots dub it a cross between an A-10 and an F-22, but the aircraft is though a very good example of efficiently, costing only 28,000,000$ to construct a 30% reduction over the average cost to produce an aircraft and unlike the more common missile based attack aircraft the cost per kill is reduced from about 10,000-1,000,000$ per kill with a missile to around 540$ with a gause (rail gun) monition. Additionally the aircraft carries 68 of these munitions and uses efficient and relatively cheep liquid hydrogen for propulsion, a necessary conversion as about half of the top plate of the wing is a large and very thin fuel cell converter which is needed too provide the massive amounts of energy needed to fire a electric coiled rail gun. The 68 munitions mean that it is offered far far greater operational time versus and aircraft which only carries 6-8 missiles, and it has more weight for as well.
The aircraft can carry up to 2 of the following missiles under the wing on a 'stealth pod' similar to a drop tank, except in that it is neither dropped nor filled with fuel and it is made with radar absorbing paneling.
2 2,000 lb Cluster Mine launchers.
2 1,600 lb Pre-Programmed Smart Missiles
2 128 Missile 'FFAR' Rocket Pods
2 2,100 lb Air Burst Munitions
or conversely an array of 16 (8x2) 5.72mm miniguns with 6,000 rounds of ammunition each, designed to be fired below above and behind and pretty much everywhere else to the aircraft in a strafing run manner putting an armor piercing bullet every 2 inches in a 15x15m square. Which can last up to 3 seconds, and cover 750x15m area.
Additionally the Rail Gun can be set to fire up to 3 rounds just milliseconds away from each other hitting a target from up to 3 different sides.

I doubt those weapons are allowed by the UN, but it is an awesome piece of machinery!

Does if come with a automatic deploying white flag for the French Pilots?

Very cool presentation and technical blurb. Love to see a better view of the model and your mesh work though. :o)

The jet looks nice, but it needs some better details and textures. The technobabble is also nice, but it is mostly nonsense, partial contradictionary and mostly senseless. As a complete presentation, Id rank it interesting. Render on and give us some better pictures of the model! :)
