Description

Vue 4, Doga-L, Painter 7 I've been wanting to do an image like this for a while now. I built the ship in Doga-L, a free program that lets you build sci-fi models out of pre-made parts. The ship is textured in vue. I added the motion blur as an afterthought, but it really added a lot to the image.

That motion blur makes the picture i believe even though the ship is very nicely done. I think if you could put some sort of trail behind it that would be evene better. Nice work though!! - Jeff

EXCELLENT! Hope it will reach a high place in SF classification - you really merit highest accolades for this scene. Idea and composition are just PERFECT, motion blur, red cockpit lights & distant fog give a special dramatic atmosphere to this scene. BRAVO! EXCELLENT + VOTE! (Hope that others will follow :-)) ) PS. And dont add any trails - this ships aerodynamics forbids to use it in dense atmosphere, and obviously your moon has a very diluted atmosphere - keep it as it is - it is more realistic. A true piece of GOOD SF!

I had to break myself of using Doga too much a while back, but I may have to try it again..only thing (just the title)..at 9,000 meters, I think there wouldn't be that much blur..9 meters, mebbe..;) great pic, great model, looks like you got everything down, even the textures..keep it up.

Great sci-fi picture. Recently came across Doga myself. As pakled notes it gets a bit addictive, but it's worth it when you see results like this.
