Description

Sometime in the 1920's a young girl died in her home from pneumonia. Since she was born on the farm she lived on and she always enjoyed playing in the field and playing with the animals in the fields, she was secretly buried there... somewhere in the fields. Over 80 years later, the farm still stands, almost as it did those many years ago and a new family lives in the old house. Though most of the land has long since overgrown with trees, large areas still remain for the new families horses and their children to romp around in. At first, no one could explain the footsteps in the house, the strange feeling they got in the barn or why the horses would sometimes go crazy in their stalls. The parents began to worry when their 4 year old son kept asking who the girl in the barn was, standing at an empty stall as if she were petting an animal. It wasn't until the young woman saw a glowing mist moving through the fields from her bedroom window and later heard the faint sound of singing and laughing as if it came and went with the wind that the family knew their house was haunted. Though they learned that a young girl had been buried there, they knew not where on the farm she rested as there were no markings or stones to mark the grave. ************************************************** This is loosely based on a true story... let me explain... A very long time ago my Great Uncle turned the first and second floors of the very large 3 story house into small apartments. At one time a 13 year old girl lived in one of the apartments. She used to take me into the barn to show me the horses and the baby kittens when I went there for 4th of July cookouts. Anyhow, she was hit by a car and killed, thought I do not remember much of the incident. Years later, when I was about 12 or so, I remembered her and asked my Great Uncle about her. He told me she was buried on the farm. To this day, I am not sure if this is true or not. I know now that there are laws about where people can be buried, but I am not sure how it was like 16 years ago. Before that in the 1960's, his barn burned down killing lots of animals. To this day, I am kinda scared going into the barn alone. It is a very creepy place. Very dim lights, lots and lots of antique stuff, 4 seperate rooms on the bottom floor inclusding the main area with the stalls, and a ramp that leads up to a second floor. Because of the slop of the terrian, you can just walk out of the barn from either the top or bottom floor. His house to is very creepy, old fashioned dim lighting and the basement is just filled with very old junk he saved. O.K... I went on long enough LOL. Enjoy the Image!
