Description

Canon 10D + Sigma 105mm EX Macro ISO 100 f2.8 1/750 A bit over dramatic as a title, perhaps, but, as I saw this discarded in my garden, I realised that when our civilisation dies, and the future archeaologists come to dig up the sites of our homes and places of work...it will be things like this that identify us...not shards of beautiful pottery, or silver clasps from dashing cloaks. But plastic foam mugs. When the world ends...there will be cockroaches...and these things...and the worst thing...the very worst...is that I don't even drink coffee! Ahem...rant over. Thanks for viewing ;)

A beautiful macro on first !!! Yeah in 2000 years, archeologists gonna have a strange look at our so call "civilisation" : are we in EVOLUTION or in DEVOLUTION? I think both together !!

A thousand years from now archeologists will be digging this stuff up and shaking their heads at our stupidity, wonderful legacy we're leaving our children.... AWESOME statement!!!

great meaning to this piece. I, alas, am among the evil coffee drinkers of the world, but like Moni, drink it from a real mug! You just can't do night shift without it :)

People can be so incomprehensiby stupid. I stopped a guy a few days ago after he'd thrown a cigarette butt onto the ground, as he walked past a bin. I told him he could have waited a second or two and put it in the bin, instead of near it.
He said if i was so worried about it why didn't i pick it up.
This is mentality we're up against. It's just so stupid. Your rant is very justified, hon...

So what if all they find is garbage, we are a mostly garbage civilisation after all. Compare the amount of trash with the amount of art - it's just math :))) I really like this shot, I think it all makes a great composition. The shadows are super :))
