Description

This is part of the Desert Ranges series, one of which I posted yesterday. The sun is large because of maximum zoom, but this much zoom seems to do something odd to the details in the background valley. They are too sharp, as if they needed some antialiasing. I'm not really complaining though. I think I'd be disappointed if everything were softened with antialiasing.

Very nice! I'm a fan of the extreme zoom as well. The super sharpness shows on this terrain maybe because of the texture. I don't find it distracting though. Nice job.

I like the peaceful mood the picture transmits. Nice texture. On my monitor it looks as if the mountains in the background were covered with crystals.

I've downloaded Terragen but haven't had enough time to learn it. The ease of learning and using AMV has a significant bearing on how I choose to use my time on the computer. I wish I could get up to speed with Terragen though. As for the oversharpness issue in this image, I rendered a higher res version and then resized it down and that took care of much of that issue. I'll leave the original 1024 here though because of my original comments about it. Thanks for all your comments!

I like the sharpness and the Bluish color of the rock with the orange to contrast with it is stunning...you have really improved a lot since the beginning...my hat is off to you..I mean look at the clarity of the texture on the snow (I hope it's snow so I don't sound foolish) in the foreground..totally amzing...
