Description

The warmth of the day slowly stole through the window, encroaching on the shadows which reluctantly yawned, stretched, and stepped back. Dust motes awakened in the beam, warmed slowly by the sun's gentle touch, and gradually they stirred in the air. The mahogany floor also welcomed the light and, as though remembering the time before when it stood tall in the forest, sent its glow to the surface to greet the day. ------------------ I did this mainly an experiment in lighting. I created a wedge-shaped box, filled it with mist, and positioned it in the window to emulate volumetric lighting. The Egyptian head is a standard prop with Strata 3.9 (or it might be from the Kitchen Sink collection I got when I bought the new Strata, I can't quite recall). I'm fairly pleased with the effect and plan to work with it in other designs.
