To me, the fact that there are three of them observing the beginning of life (represented by the egg) is symbolically significant. Always when two people create life, there is a third entity present.

It does somehow seem to bring a certain association with Ostara/Easter, but irrespective of that - the piece is increadibly reasonant and captivating
