Description
They saw the Indian Squaw with the 2 children. Their scalps are worth money. $10 each for the kids and $15 for the Squaw.
With that there sealed their own fate.!
The Warriors picked up there trail where Beatty Nev is now. They chased them into California, into the Valley of death.
The Cowboys didn't have enough water or supplies to make a stand, so they ran.
They didn't know this area, they had never been here before but the Warriors had.
The Warriors plan was to drive the cowboys to one certain water hole.
The chase was going into the 2nd day when the Warriors gave the Cowboys their final push into the small white alkaline canyon.
The Warriors knew the cowboys would be to far gone with thirst to keep from drinking the water.
The Warriors wanted revenge for the killing's, but wanted it to last.
While the Cowboys were watching the rear, a Warrior got ahead of them and poisoned the water hole.
The Cowboys died hard. Their bones burned by the sun and weathered by the wind. All the plants died around the water hole. No animals come here because of the alkali in the area.
This scene will remain until nature erasers any sign of what happened.
TG and PSP for post.

What a story - agree with A.D., the picture says it all!! Outstanding work Frank, and a sobering reminder of one of historys darker episodes.

Frank, I am beginning to believe you are the new "Edward Abbey" artist/author of the southwest. Again, your story and depiction are absolutely outstanding!

Very effective! It's what happens when people plot to do violence.
