Description

We were having fun together but all good things must come to an end I leave and enter my domain Once again I am faced with the demons I left behind "Unfinished business" is written over everything I touch Desperation envelops me but I remain calm. On the brink of madness I manage to hold onto false sanity I lure myself yet again into the depths of my darkness Day by day it consumes me and I sink lower still Success seems so far now as if I stand at the bottom of a well A well with no rope to climb but with murky waters promising my ruin It rises and my freedom will soon die again Golden rays of hope touch my face but I cannot reach them The song of this saintly siren falls upon a deaf man's door Please let your energy course through me Let it make me rise and escape this ever-deepening tomb Make me hear your song and make me change Let the future be bright again and let me be free ------------------ hmm... i sound like me from a long, long time ago... i wish renderosity allowed for more than 1 posts because i feel more inside me wanting to be said. perhaps tomorrow. it will be bedtime soon. as sung by Emma Shapplin, i should "forget or live no longer" ... "or, then, only the night, the night, the night!" though in my case "change" is probably a better word than "forget"

by the way, any poems i post are written either on that same day or at the time of posting, like this one. i just don't like littering my work with dates. that's what hard copies and "Creation Date" are for.

"The song of this saintly siren falls upon a deaf man's door" That sounds really good, so melancholic and contradicting that it actually makes sense.
