I had never done a guy render. Here is my try, I hope you like it.

Interesting. A comment meant to be helpful: Dark shape in background seems to have no purpose and it unbalances the composition - it is rather arbitrary in rising from his neck and not continuing on the other side of his body. A dark cloud, not totally black, might have accentuated the very good modelling of the figure. Hope this helps.

I agree with bonzo, but for a first render this is great... I think what throughs the eye is the light in almost the whole pic doesnt match that looming mointain....I would love to see the changes:)

I really like this. It looks like an old photo. I love his face and his expression as if he was caught off guard. I think if he was posing differently it'd look totally real. VERY COOL!
