Description

Vision from the Sir Walter Scott novel, Kenilworth. Probably should have posted it in mixed medium as the sky, mountain and trees background, and most of the vegetation was painted in Dogwaffle. I can't for the life of me remember where I found the castle. I wish I could so as to give proper credit. Misc fact; The name Wendy was made up for the book Peter Pan, there was never a recorded Wendy before that. Recieved a message from the castle creator..it is Alfons. Glad he wrote so I can give him the credit due for a fine model!

Very Very nice, Kenwas. Really reminds me of a painting done in the 19th century by one of the Romantic/Pre-Raphaelite artists. I was thinking, to give it a little splash of color, since the overall tone is somewhat sepia in nature, what about placing a small party of mounted knight's and retinue with their colorful garments over their armor, with colorful flags or pendants whipping from lances, and shields with their heraldric crests, crossing over the bridge toward the castle... Maybe call it, "The Arrival of the King". The party would not have to be very large or really detailed, so as not to detract from your overall image, just enough to "tell a story"...know what I am trying to say? Almost like a still from one of those 1940s-50s Hollywood epics like "Ivanhoe".... :D
