Description

Couple of years ago, I visited a lovely little area known as Lockett Meadow. It doesn't seem to be known much beyond the local inhabitants of the Flagstaff, Arizona area. If you drive the loop around, you get into an aspen forest. The predominant view in the forest is of the trunks of aspen trees, which resemble birch trunks. No, I didn't see a unicorn that day, unfortunately, but the light in the place was so full of magic, I imagined that I might. These aren't aspen trunks, but the child saw a unicorn anyway. Thank you to Nola for the unicorn. Comments in other languages welcome.

Sorry, Pat and Ariz, a little story doesn't make a good pic and I don't understand Ariz ranking. It's a nice beginner-like pic, that's all, and you could improve it by many ways. I really think that renderosity needs sincere rankings and comments, and not excessive graciousness... that's the only way for all of us to improve our skills :)

@ hillrunner: I started considering redoing the image as soon as I put it up. I think you are right. :)

You must of had alot of fond memories while making this image Pat! I enjoyed reading what you wrote and appreciate you sharing something from your heart! Even if it doesn't hit the HOT 20s..:)

A very delightful little story with a charming Terragen render to illustrate it. Perhaps another genre such as TG & story or TG & creature would be a better choice for rating wherein I see no need for improvement of the image and as such could also be voted into the top 20. As a TG & story I rate it excellent.

Well maybe it isn't a great TG image, but you put up what you saw in your minds eye, and to me that is what art is about. You have experience you know what you are doing, to me this image is an expression of your feelings. Thank you for having the heart to share this with us!!!

Criticism, even if constructive can be brutal. We must all glean what we can from these comments and suggestions... and learn ... and apply! Thanks for sharing Pat.

Agree with Hill, while it is charming and the story is adorable, we need definitivly a "story and digital artwork" for this kind of render.

The unicorn reminds me of the ones that I've seen in that movie "Legend",Very nice one.
