Description

A rework of an image I've posted awhile back. Changed the atmosphere, added the natives-in-boat and changed some mats, hope you like it, pierre

Your talent at looking into history and picking the right moment to capture and show is eclipsed only by your skillful and excellent renders.

Superb artistry and excellent way to get figures into the scene! A first rate in Tahiti, would have really shaken up the local pirates :)

Okay, Pjero. As you are probably aware, I do have a tendency to be VERY critical of the use of this ship in many 3D renders. Mostly because the artists don't do their research and show this model in a correct context. As a Naval Historian, this just rubs me the wrong way. I really do like this image, it would seem to be very thought out. Down to the topsails that would slow her approach to the anchorage. Other than the fact that a ship of this size would not have been sent from England all the way around Cape Horn to the deep South Pacific by the Admiralty. A ship of this size would be too valuable to waste on a trip that normally kept it away from home for up to 3 years. I can't find anything really critical to say, but Very Well Done. Maybe add a few more native boats that would be welcoming the ship to the island. I would put this up there with The Hobbit's render of this ship he did. Well Done.
