Description

I thought really hard of how to take a picture of a subject that had been shot over and over again. The elephant answered the question for me when it peeked at me from behind a rock outcropping and it took me a moment to realize he/she was there! I only wish I had the time to set a deeper aperture.

yes, a deeper aperture would have been nice...but this is still an amazing shot. It is a new way of photographing elephants and emphasises their stony qualities. I absolutely love it.

Near a zoo? It was AT a zoo. The Jacksonville, Florida Zoo. Not a whole lot of elephants running around Savannah, Georgia smiles. Thank you all for the comments. Take care and God bless.

Great shot. Would have even better if a rock had been in background too.
