Description
This scene came out looking more realistic than I expected. I'm using v 7.2 and wanted to see if I could make something that looks like HDRI. Just applied an image to a material as a alpha layer and put that on a dome surrounding the objects. Then I made a light dome. I'm not even going to try radiosity. There a 44 lights and my computer is slow as it is. Tell me what you think of it.

To be honest with you, sometimes radiosity (with the proper settings) can be faster than using a light dome. I use light domes pretty much for all my renders because I prefer the way they turn out as opposed to radiosity but I tested a couple of my scene's both ways and 90% of the time, the radiosity render was quicker due to all the shadow calculations required with a light dome.
