Description

In Middle Eastern culture, the hand symbolizes protection from the "evil eye." Of late, it has become fashionable to collect these, called Hamsas. This is a wooden hand upon which I painted, in acrylics, the Scales of Justice with the Dove of Peace outweighing a missile -- a gift that I made for a left wing lawyer, who advocates peace and coexistence.
