Many thanks to yannick for his meticulous work on this model. Aircraft is a French Bleriot XI Brevet Gouin, one of many variants, circa 1908-1915. 25-50 hp Gnome motor, top speed 56 mph, top altitude 6,560 feet, top endurance 3 hrs 45 min; 800 built by end of 1913. Used as reconnaisance and artillery spotter by several nations during World War I. No armament unless pilot carried a rifle, carbine or pistol.
