Description

The next way-point was to find the Steps by the water. Well there are allot of steps around here and many catch basins where there could be water. Trouble could be it's dried up or it only had water one time.. It might get tricky on this one.. So far I have spent 4 days looking for the Steps by the water and found 6 places that would fit the description that at one time held water, but were now dry. Going thru all these little canyons will wear you out pretty fast. They were all in the general area of the next way-point, but they all go off in different directions.. I spent the next day going over all the papers and info I had. Nothing helped.. Do I give up, do I just stumble around hoping I'd find the next way point?? Then I remembered the "Boys." Horses would not be in this canyon are unless there was water. I re-traced my way back to the shining man, got across the canyon to the lip where I saw the "Boys" the other day. I could see by the way the switchback was going I would end up very near where the next way point would be. It was getting dark when I toped the raise. I saw a beauty of a Sunset. There were two large holes on top of this mesa. One of the holes had a straight line on one side like it had been dug. I'll avoid them for now. I'll check them out in the morning. To Be Continued TG

Foreground is a bit blocky, you should use bigger resolution terrain, or increase meter point spacing, good atmo/mood here

Frank, these golden sunsets are a fleeting treasure. You have done well with this one. I agree with hillrunner. It seems to me that each image you produce is better than the last. Excellent work here.
