That's my husband David and I, and my beloved kitty Lucia. Lucia adopted me in 1996, and David and I found each other here..we started as best of friends, and are still soulmates. We were married in England on 6 May, 2005.
BIOI've been dabbling in digital art for about 6 years, starting with Bryce 3. I think I've improved quite a bit. I've been at Rendero for quite a few years; enjoy the forums and galleries. I do graphics mainly as stress relief, and also because I can't draw with a pencil and paper worth a damn! (Didn't inherit any of my father's prodigious artistic talent)
The main programs I'm using these days are Vue Infinite, Poser 4.03, 5 and 6, PhotoShop 6 and CS, and PaintShop Pro 7 & 8. I also play with Terragen and Mojoworld 2 & 3 (among others).
I don't really stick to one genre; I've been bouncing between nature scenes, portraits, with and without postwork, people, places, things, nature, animals, and fantasy. Right now I'm concentrating on texturing and lighting in Vue 4 Pro, and have been doing sprite images because they make me feel so lighthearted.
My sweetheart's name here is madasatadpole, and he's a very talented and creative artist. Please visit his gallery to see some stunning landscapes as well as some very silly humor! So thanks to Renderosity for not only being a source of information and fun all these years, but for bringing me the most precious gift of all. His dad also has a gallery here, madasadadpole, lol, please stop by and check out his lovely watercolors.

Great vegetation and composition - nice POV as well!

I think if you crop the lower 1/4 (and possibly add a corresponding amount of sky at the top), it becomes a stronger composition. But don't give up on this scene, definite potential in it...assuming you're willing to brave V4P again....!

The water andreflections look fantastic and I like your vegetation and the flamingos. Sorry about your problems with Vue Pro. :-(
lilzeek
Very beautiful! Lovely colors and vegetation.

Beautiful image djeser , sorry to here your having troubles with vue pro:-)

Your water looks photo realistic to me Dj. I know how you're feeling about Vue Pro though. I have lost three Scenes so far. Main Save PLUS the Backup get corrupted. Computer completely freezes forcing me to Hard Reset. But you have created something that fooled me for a second... I thought it was a photo. Nice work:)

I think it is n excelent image. How would you improve it!

Both the tower and the water look "photo-real". The trees have that wonderful "painterly look" that prompted me to buy Vue in the first place :) I don't own Vue Pro (still with Vue 4+), but do own Poser 5 and can empathize with any software related problems people have :) If I would change anything it would be cropping the sky to just above the clouds, and the water to just below the relfection as already suggested. I also think I would only use one critter.....Flamingo or otherwise and move it closer to the camera, so that it becomes the focal point and not the background. I think I've been messing with Poser too long :)

Great image with a potential sense of mystery. You sound as though you might do another version.....so as suggested by others, I would also be tempted to lose half the water & sky, plus both birds as they don't look happy.( Maybe ducks) Have a grand stone landing stage with steps disapearing uphill. Raise the "sat on trees" on the left to full hieght to produce a more asymmetric composition. Only my thoughts :)

Great work with your image. I Know the feeling with VuePro. Hopefuly it will be fixed in next update. Keep at it and don't give up. :o)

As has been suggested above it's a compostional thing; might also look and moving tower a bit or adding another arch. element to lose more of that center symetry.

Wonderful image, great atmosphere, well done!
Boica
this is first time in your image that POV is greate.Water and sky and POV are great.
TheWingedOne
Besides all the troubles with VuePro you've been experiencing you did a fantastic job! :) The water looks so amazingly realistic and like already been said the POV looks great, too. :)))
Panic912
The water looks very realistic, also the vegetation and the tower! Excellent one!

I don't think it looks booring:-). Could be somewhere on the Danube border. Maybe the flamingos are a little strange in this landscape, but otherwise I would say it is a great image.

Sandoppe has some good suggestions..but I know how hard it is to go back to something you are sick of... but this has so much potential!(and I am NOT saying that just because of my flamingos!) I am watching with such interest in vue Pro... very pretty stuff coming out of it! (but will wait a year until the bugs are out! ;)

Oh I know how those changing images can be DJ, but this one turned out great! The water is among the best i have ever seen!
theyoda71
Nice composition, Excellent render
erka
Love the way the tower reflects in the water!
Tintifax
Well done, and considering the circumstances I can only congratulate you. I learned with Poser5 to wait before I buy a new software. Seems this was a good idea with Vue Pro.
ShadowWind
I know how you feel, hope the new version fixes some of it. Very cool image even so...
Alexander_Kroener
A typical setup for a photo, and a photo-like render - just excellent. The birds are fine for me - maybe not the "right" species, but nice color spots.
czarnyrobert
Simple - but very well composed scene! :-))) Beautiful place!
