Description

Thanks for all the comments recently. I've taken them on board and come up with this. I hope it meets with your approval. I really don't have the patience to create pictures like this often. It's hard work. (On me and the computer) This is mostly Bryce. Several renders layered in PS7. I didn't set out to make a Blade Runner picture, but in the end it looked so much like it, I thought I'd go the whole way and model a simple Bryce spinner. Bryce and PS7. Thanks for looking. I think once you put a see through picture of a Geisha in a picture it can't avoid being Blade Runner.

Blade Runner from the great SF writer Philip K. Dick. And for my point of view, a great restitution of the scene. A great job Philip.

I once did a similar image [here]and found it a bit tricky to illuminate the signs/billboards and to give them a realistic glow. Did you encouter this problem too?

I remember your picture. It's fantastic. I didn't have to worry too much, since your signs were more of the focus than mine, which are more for atmosphere. So I just used a slight diffuse. I wanted them to be more of a holographic feel than neon.

bigbadelf made a fair ocmmment (in the forum) that the flare may make it hard to see the ships, so I posted a full size version with the flarelayer missing at http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=107&Form.ShowMessage=1735619

You said - I didn't set out to make a Blade Runner picture, but in the end it looked so much like it. - To me it looks like a shot right out of the movie. "cool". Great Work!
